SportsClimb, Inc. (SportsClimb or we) is committed to your privacy while using the SportsClimb web site. We demonstrate this commitment by posting this Privacy Statement to inform you of:

1.      The personally identifiable information we collect from you through our web site and how we use it;

2.      With whom we share your information and why;

3.      How we use your personally identifying information;

4.      Your choices regarding collection, use, and distribution of the information;

5.      The security procedures in place to protect the information under our control; and

6.      How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

The statement that follows refers to three roles a member may have in the SportsClimb web site:

1.      Player: A member who can enter information about the teams on which he or she plays, including schedules, results, and both personal and team statistics.

2.      Fan: A member who establishes a relationship with a Player to be able to view information about the teams on which the Player belongs, including schedules, results, and both personal and team statistics. If Players invite other Players to “co-own” a team, all co-owners of that team are automatically Fans of each other. All other members must be specifically approved by a Player to become a Fan of that Player.

3.      Parent: A member who can create and control “child accounts” for their children as Players. The SportsClimb web site gives Parents the ability to act on behalf of their children. If a Player uses a child account, only the Parent has the ability to invite or approve Fans of that child, and only the Parent has the ability to change the child’s account password. Parents also have the ability to give other members the Parent role for each of their children.

Information we collect and how we use it

In order to provide its services, SportsClimb collects certain personally identifiable information:

Information you provide – To create an account, we ask you for personal information such as your name, email address, birth date, and an account password. If you are a Player, we require other personally identifiable information, including information about the teams to which you belong and information about other people with whom you want to form a “fan relationship” (i.e., you are their Fan, they are your Fan, or both) such as name and team information.

Cookies – When you visit the SportsClimb web site, we send one or more cookies – a small file containing a string of characters – to your computer or other device that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to store information which lets us identify you. Our advertisers may also use cookies to help serve and manage ads displayed to you.

These may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.

User communications – When you send messages to other members of the web site, we retain those communications in order to provide them to those users when requested.

With whom do we share your information, and why

SportsClimb does not share any personally identifying information with 3rd parties. Any personal information about Players and their teams is only shared with the Fans they or their Parents approve first. Any personal information about Fans is only shared with the Players of which they are a Fan.

The SportsClimb web site also gives you the capability to leave “accolades” (encouraging messages) for Players of whom you are a Fan. When you use this feature, your name and message can be viewed by other Fans of that Player.

How we use your personally identifying information

SportsClimb does not use personally identifying information about its web site members except in aggregate form to track member growth and usage patterns. It uses this information to add and enhance web site features.
